What are Celtic and Rangers chances of Champions League progression after star studded draw? Saturday Jury

CRAIG SWAN:Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his team have a tough one. They are outsiders to progress, but nothing seems impossible for them in Europe these days.

MICHAEL GANNON: It’s a pretty tough section for Rangers. Liverpool should coast it but they can be in the fierce fight for the second and third places. Either slot would be a success.

FRASER WILSON: Liverpool is box office. But all in all Rangers must fancy their chances against an Ajax side in transition and Napoli who blow hot and cold. It’s really tough but with the results Rangers have produced in recent years you wouldn’t write them off.

CRAIG: SWANReal Madrid are clear favourites to win the section. Celtic are underdogs to get through, but can have a go and make third.

MICHAEL GANNON: Celtic couldn’t have asked for much more. Real will bring the glamour and they’ll cruise to the top but the other sides give Celts hope. This could be a cut throat section where eight points is enough. Like Gers, even third spot would be good.

FRASER WILSON: Again outside the glamour tie against the European champions should Celtic really be fearful of Leipzig side that finished fourth last season and has yet to win after three games? The two games against Shakhtar could be key.

CRAIG SWAN: This is better. The prize money is not that much different for qualification and points and Hearts have more chance of winning games in the Conference.

MICHAEL GANNON: They will be kicking themselves – and rightly so. Zurich were okay but this was a great chance. Hearts will be more competitive in the Conference but the Europa League is where they want to be.

FRASER WILSON: The fact they’re in it shows it’s their level but it could have been better and Jorge Grant has unfortunately
