Wexford secure Leinster U20 semi-final spot after hard-fought victory over Laois
Wexford progressed to the semi-finals of the Leinster U20 hurling championship on Tuesday night after a stern test from Laois at MW Hire O'Moore Park.
The midlanders trailed by three points late on before hitting the last two scores of the game to leave the minimum between the sides, but the Yellowbellies held on.
Laois had led at the break by two points - 0-09 to 0-07 - but Wexford, helped by Cian Byrne's seven points, were able to turn the game around.
Next up for them is a meeting with Dublin in the last four on 2 May. Kilkenny are set to play Offaly tonight in the remaining quarter-final.
