West Ham's Manuel Lanzini involved in car crash as £70k Mercedes 'flips over'

West Ham 's Manuel Lanzini is said to have walked away unscathed from a dramatic car crash near the club's training ground after the a £70,000 Mercedes V-class he was being driver in flipped over. The footballer, 29, flipped on the A12 on Thursday afternoon and landed on its side, the Mirror reports.

Despite the dramatic incident, Lanzini is said to have been able to walk away from the wreckage before firefighters arrived at the scene. He was then passed fit to continue his journey to the Irons' Rush Green base. According to a report by The Sun, the vehicle was left in a "crumpled mess".

A West Ham spokesperson told The Mirror that Lanzini was met by player care officials upon his arrival at the training ground. It remains to be seen whether he will be available for Sunday's Premier League fixture against Everton.

A source reportedly told The Sun: "It's a miracle he's alive, from what I've heard... Just goes to show, it doesn't matter how much cash you have - we're all just as vulnerable to a smash like this. Thank goodness he was okay."
