West Ham 'still want' four signings at the London Stadium
West Ham United are looking to bring in four more players before the transfer window closes on 1st September, according to Dean Jones.
David Moyes has welcomed five permanent additions to the London Stadium this summer, but the club still have intentions of bringing in more players.
The Irons’ most significant addition to the side this summer was that of Sassuolo and Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca, who signed for the club for £30.5m, but the Hammers still have gaps to fill in the squad this season.
Despite welcoming a number of players to the club, the Irons have lost eight players so far this summer, notably Issa Diop moving to Fulham for a fee of £15m, whilst club legend Mark Noble retired following the conclusion of last season.
Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasić has moved on a season-long loan to Serie A side Torino, suggesting that the club will be looking to invest in an attacking midfielder this summer.
And Jones believes that the club are targeting four new additions to Moyes’ squad ahead of September’s transfer deadline, but feels that the likelihood of this happening is slim.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’ve heard they still want four players basically before the window’s out.
“I personally, based on what we’ve seen so far this window, I’m not convinced that they will get that done.”
Following Vlasić’s aforementioned departure, and now rumours that the club could be listening to offers for Algerian attacking midfielder Saïd Benrahma, it looks as though one position the club could be looking to strengthen this summer could be that of a number ten.
