West Ham now have '£30m package on the table' at London Stadium
West Ham United are looking to tempt Chelsea into selling Armando Broja by putting a ‘£30million package on the table’ at the London Stadium, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
Hammers boss David Moyes has recruited Nayef Aguerd, Alphonse Areola and Flynn Downes ahead of the upcoming campaign, but he has now turned his attentions towards bolstering his attacking options.
West Ham, Newcastle United and Everton are reportedly in a race to sign Broja, but it seems the east Londoners have the edge over their Premier League rivals.
That is because, according to The Athletic, the Hammers are close to reaching an agreement with Chelsea for the striker’s services.
The report suggests the 14-cap Albania international left his current employers’ pre-season tour of the United States as talks continued over a switch to the London Stadium and personal terms have already been agreed.
It comes after West Ham launched a £30million bid last week as Moyes is keen to make Broja his fourth summer signing.
However, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has suggested that he is not expecting the 20-year-old to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and hinted the frontman’s return to London was only due to picking up an injury.
Sheth understands West Ham have made a £30million proposal and are waiting for Chelsea to make a decision on whether to sanction Broja’s departure.
The Sky Sports reporter believes an acceptance of the offer would result in the Hammers coughing up the vast majority of the sum upfront.
When asked what West Ham’s bid is worth, Sheth told GIVEMESPORT: “There’s a £30million package on the table.
“We think it’s around £25million as an initial fee and £5million in performance-related add-ons.”
