West Ham injury news: Fresh update on Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen’s injury sustained for West Ham isn’t “significant” according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The influential attacker was forced off early in the second half of the Hammers’ 1-0 loss at Liverpool on Saturday with a heel problem.

Bowen has been enjoying a quite incredible season for West Ham, but his setback at Anfield was a rare bump in the road.

Just a couple of minutes after the interval, the winger was through on goal, only for Andy Robertson to come from nowhere and make an outstanding last-ditch tackle.

Not only was it a wasted chance for West Ham, but Bowen felt the full effects from the coming together and hobbled off a couple of minutes after the challenge.

West Ham have confirmed that the scan he underwent after the game showed no damage to his heel, although it’s unclear whether Bowen will be ready in time to feature in the crunch trip to Sevilla in the Europa League on Thursday.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “The Bowen injury isn’t significant from what I’m told, but even missing him for one or two games this season hampers them massively because they don’t have the depth in the squad, and we knew that.”

Said Benrahma was the man who came on in Bowen’s place at Anfield and he would naturally be the most likely replacement in Spain.

However, Moyes hasn’t always been overly keen on the Algeria international, with the Hammers boss often demanding more from his player since his move from Brentford in 2020.
