West Brom now considering exciting promotion-winning manager at Hawthorns

West Bromwich Albion’s hierarchy have been discussing a potential move for former Bournemouth manager Scott Parker, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The 41-year-old is one of several intriguing candidates to be linked with the vacancy at the Hawthorns after Steve Bruce was relieved of his duties after a sluggish start to the current campaign.

A recent report from The Mirror claimed that Carlos Corberan, Sean Dyche, Gary Rowett and Chris Wilder are on West Brom’s shortlist following their decision to sack Bruce.

However, Football League World have stated that Parker is another possible candidate on the radar of the Midlands outfit as they look to climb out of the Championship relegation zone.

Bruce was sent packing after overseeing just one win from West Brom’s opening 13 second-tier fixtures, and the search for his successor is well and truly underway.

All of Corberan, Dyche, Wilder and Parker are free agents at this moment in time after they were themselves sacked from their previous roles either last term or in 2022/23, making them very achievable targets.

And with West Brom boasting one of the most talented squads in the division, it will surely be an appealing job to the aforementioned tacticians.

Jones believes that West Brom have ‘great potential’ to transform their fortunes if they appoint the right boss over the coming days and weeks and that Parker has ‘been mentioned’ as a target.
