Wesley Fofana's new partner, midfielders' futures assessed – Leicester City questions answered

The summer transfer window, and the possible ins and outs, dominated the discussion as we answered your Leicester City questions this week.

In particular, there was a lot of talk about which players may be at risk of being moved on as Brendan Rodgers bids to revitalise his squad, and which players may be sold to generate funds for signings. You can read our answers below.

A: Well, I think in an ideal world, City would want it to be somebody new. I think the feeling is that Soyuncu may be sold to generate funds, while Evans, with his injuries and getting older, may not be able to play at the top of his game all of time, and so it will see City venture into the market to sign a new centre-back.

Profile-wise, I suspect they will be similar to Fofana, someone who has shown a lot of the right physical and technical attributes, but I also understand that ideally they would want somebody who is left-footed to bring a better balance to the defence.

In that sense, Levi Colwill ticks a lot of boxes. He's been very impressive on loan at Huddersfield from Chelsea this season and played next to Luke Thomas for England Under-21s recently. He is a player City have been linked to in the past. Signing a talented teenager from Chelsea would ordinarily seem off the table, but given the financial uncertainty around the club at the moment, it possibly increases City's chances. Certainly, it is someone in Colwill's mould they would like.
