"We've both had cocaine and we're both alcoholics": Mum's response to cops after being arrested for attempted murder of boyfriend

A mum responded "that's heavy that" when police told her she was being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Emma Walsh stabbed boyfriend Gary Morgan in the heart after returning home from watching football in the pub.

Walsh, 31, later found out that Mr Morgan had died, while she was at the police station. She is currently on trial at Liverpool Crown Court after denying his murder.

She would later claim that she was acting in self-defence, said she was "scared" and told an officer that she had bipolar disorder, Liverpool Echo reports.

"Dad, is he ok? Please let me know. We've both had cocaine and we're both alcoholics. We were at it every day "It's hard. Please come on baby."

Walsh asked to "go with him" in the ambulance, but was instead told
