"We thought oh no... not again": Fed up homeowner speaks out after Mercedes obliterates garden wall

The owners of a house whose garden wall was obliterated by a Mercedes on Monday night (February 26) have spoken out - and claimed it isn't the first time it's happened.

Police closed off Darwen Road in Bolton on Monday night (February 26) after the silver car was dramatically ploughed into a garden wall at a house on the junction with Guild Street.

Fire crews, police and paramedics attended the scene, in Bromley Cross, at around 7pm. Residents reported hearing sirens as local councillor Nadim Muslim urged people to 'avoid the area' due to the 'significant police presence'.

Dramatic pictures taken from the scene showed how the silver Mercedes had appeared to smash into the wall, sending bricks crumbling to the ground before becoming wedged.

Fire crews attended and treated two women at the scene before the vehicle was later recovered, shortly after 9pm. Further details are not yet known, however Greater Manchester Police have been contacted by the Manchester Evening News.

On social media, one witness said: "I drove past just after it happened. Looked like the silver car was almost in someone’s front room" as another local responded: "Heard all the
