Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reportedly met Cristiano Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential transfer swoop for the Portuguese star this summer.
According to The Athletic, Boehly discussed a number of topics with Mendes including Ronaldo's future. Ronaldo is reportedly weighing up his options as he is feeling underwhelmed at the lack of business conducted so far at Manchester United in terms of new signings. The 37-year-old scored 24 goals in all competitions for United last season but was visibly disgruntled at times throughout the season.
Chelsea are yet to make any signings of their own despite being linked with moves for Raheem Sterling, Ousmane Dembele, Jules Kounde and Milan Skriniar in the past week. Boehly is set to back Thomas Tuchel significantly in the summer transfer window with the new owner personally handling negotiations for a number of deals, including the imminent exit of Romelu Lukaku on loan back to former side Inter Milan.
