'We lost the ball in a very simple way!': Bafana boss Broos bemoans late defeat to Morocco

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says it was a bitter pill to swallow, witnessing Morocco score in the game's dying minutes, resulting in a 2-1 defeat on Thursday.

The highly anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) Group K fixture occurred in front of a hostile crowd at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

In what looked like a near full capacity stadium, Lyle Foster shockingly gave South Africa the lead in the eighth minute, giving the home crowd further energy to cheer their Atlas Lions to victory.

Yusuf Maart soon lost the ball on the halfway line after the Bafana defence remained stubborn about keeping the scores level.
