Watford fans react to 'half decent' team named for Aston Villa test

Watford fans have mixed reactions to Roy Hodgson's team selection to face Aston Villa at Villa Park this afternoon.

The Hornets are boosted by the return of Ismaïla Sarr for his first start since November, but knocks to midfielder Juraj Kucka and forward João Pedro means they miss out.

Roy Hodgson's side makes the trip to Birmingham to take on a Villa side desperate for three sides.

A victory for Villa this afternoon could propel them to within nine points of the top six with 14 games still to be played; three points for Watford, meanwhile, could reduce the existing six point gap between them and safety.

The visitors have one of the worst form in the Premier League over the past 20 matches, winning and drawing just three games each.

The Hornets have improved a substantial amount since Hodgson's appointment as manager in late January, drawing 0-0 with Burnley and losing narrowly 1-0 at West Ham.

Watford have proven a bit of a bogey side for Villa with the Hornets taking maximum points in two out of their last three Premier League meetings, including a 3-2 win at Vicarage Road earlier in the season.
