Mercedes-AMG revealed its new car for the 2022 Formula 1 season. The W13, a completely new one to the car that participated in the 2021 season, results from the regulation overhaul taking flight this year.

Dubbed the F1 W13, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, both British drivers, will drive the car.

Last year, Mercedes-AMG was locked in a battle for the Constructors' championship with Red Bull Racing, but managed to win the championship ahead of their rivals. For Hamilton, though, it was a tougher pill to swallow as he lost out on the title to Red Bull rival Max Verstappen.

With the sport effectively hitting the reset button in 2022, the Silver Arrows will be hoping that the new car will once again be the most dominant on the grid and that they can continue the domineering pace they've been enjoying since 2014.

Hamilton is back

Following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final race of the 2021 season, Hamilton took a leave of silence from the sport. 'Disillusioned' by what had transpired in the closing stages of the race, the Brit blamed Race Director Michael Masi for him losing the title to Verstappen.
