WATCH | Hunt says Nurkovic wanted to leave Chiefs when he arrived as coach

Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt revealed that star striker Samir Nurkovic wanted to leave the club after he arrived.

After losing against Baroka FC in the last matchday of the 2019/20 DStv Premiership, Chiefs sacked Ernst Middendorp, while Hunt closed a chapter with Bidvest Wits as they sold the club to the highest bidder and soon after were relocated and renamed.

Hunt ended up taking the Chiefs post following a conversation with the club's football manager Bobby Motaung and decided to give it a real a chance.

However, he did not last 10 months as the club opted to sack the five-time PSL winner and lure Stuart Baxter back to Naturena for a second spell.
