Watch: Father A Legendary Batter, Samit Dravid Turns Heads With Bowling

India men's cricket team coach Rahul Dravid is considered as one of the finest ever batters in the world. Popularly known by the nickname of 'The Wall', Dravid has featured in 164 Tests and 344 ODIs and played many match-winning knocks for Team India. Not only as a player, but Dravid has been immensely contributing to the team's success as a coach, since November 2021. His son Samit Dravid, who is currently playing in the U19 Cooch Behar Trophy for Karnataka, gave all the cricket fans a huge surprise.

Samit bowled 12 overs on Day 1 of the final match of the tournament between Karnataka and Mumbai. In total, he leaked 49 runs and went wicketless.

However, this was not the first time that the 18-year-old all-rounder made the headlines. Earlier in December, the junior Dravid grabbed everyone's attention with his powerful 98-run knock against Jammu and Kashmir in the U19 Cooch Behar Trophy match.

Talking about Dravid, the Indian coach recently gave a clarification about wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan's absence from the squad for the T20I series against Afghanistan.

"He asked for the rest. I do not think he has made himself available for selection yet. When he is available, he will play domestic cricket and officially make himself available for selection," Dravid said.

With Kishan likely to return to action for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the batter has resumed training to get himself up to pace.

Taking to Twitter, Kishan shared a video of him meditating and training on the ground.
