Rahul Dravid Provides Update On Ravindra Jadeja's Injury Ahead Of 2nd Test vs England

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remains a doubt for the second Test against England, starting Friday at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag. Jadeja appeared to have pulled his hamstring during Day 4 of the first Test as England took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series after beating India by 28 runs in Hyderabad. Chasing a target of 231, India were bowled out for 202. Jadeja was run out in the second innings courtesy of Ben Stokes' outrageous underarm flick at the non-striker's end.

Before Stokes came up with a direct hit, Jadeja appeared to have pulled his hamstring, which might have played a part in his dismissal.

With the 2nd Test starting on Friday, India head coach Rahul Dravid was asked to share an update on Jadeja's fitness.

Without going into details, Dravid said that he didn't get the chance to talk to the physios yet.

"We'll see. I honestly haven't had a chance to speak to the physio as yet. Once I get back, I'll speak to him and see what it is about," Dravid said at the post-match media conference.

Jadeja picked five wickets in the match and also top-scored for India with a brilliant 87 in the first innings.

Reflecting on India's defeat, Dravid said: "We didn't get a hundred, you know, we didn't get somebody getting a really big hundred for us. So, in some ways, in India, I just felt we left those 70, 80 runs back in the hut in the first innings. Second innings is always going to be challenging. It's one of those things that, you know, it's tough. It's not easy to chase 230 or it's not done very often."

For England, debutant Tom Hartley bagged seven wickets in the 2nd innings to seal England's thrilling 28-run win over India. On the other hand, vice-captain Ollie Pope smashed 196 to help England overturn a 190-run
