WATCH | Ex-Man United defender Rojo smokes cigarette on pitch after Boca Juniors' cup win

Former Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo opted to reach for a cigarette and smoke it on the pitch after Boca Juniors celebrated winning the Professional League Cup.

On Sunday, the Argentian giants eased to a 3-0 victory over Tigre, with Rojo netting the opening goal before Frank Fabra and Luis Vazquez completed the final scoresheet.

After the trophy celebrations, Rojo was taking in all the scenes on the pitch, surrounded by his family and friends, but opted to smoke a cigarette, which made the rounds on social media as the cameras caught him.

Rojo signed for United in 2014, spending seven seasons at the club, but only made 76 appearances for the Premier League outfit.

In his seventh year, the 32-year-old remained on United's books but spent it out on loan at Estudiantes de La Plata in Argentina. In 2021 he joined the famous Juniors side after leaving Old Trafford permanently.
