WATCH | Bok captain Kolisi urges Kaizer Chiefs fans to be patient with Arthur Zwane

In Durban

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has pleaded for Kaizer Chiefs fans to be patient as the club slowly finds its footing under Arthur Zwane.

Chiefs will be engaged in a Macufe Cup match against Royal AM at the Free State Stadium on Sunday as the FIFA International break is in full swing.

They went into the international break on the back of a come-from-behind 2-1 against SuperSport United at the FNB Stadium last week.

Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana scored a brace in his first start for Chiefs, with the result allowing the Phefeni Glamour Boys to collect their third win of the season.

That placed them on 11 points and ninth place on the log, eight points adrift of leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

In what was a light-hearted and humorous departure from rugby as the Boks gear up for their crunch Rugby Championship game against Argentina on Saturday, Kolisi made it clear who he supports domestically.

"I'm a sportsman and I also go through seasons where things are tough," Kolisi said.

"They're not going out there to play badly or lose. They're working hard every day to be good and sometimes, things don't work out.

"The only thing I can say to them is that they must keep on working hard and keep on pushing."

Kolisi said Zwane is trying his best to get the club into shape and fans need to understand that it's Zwane's first season with the club where things may go wrong more before they get right.
