WATCH | 10.53! American sprinter runs fastest 100m ever by leg amputee

Richard Browne, a paralympic sprinter from the United States, ran the fastest ever 100m by a single or double-leg amputee on Monday.

Competing in the US Paralympics Track and Field Championships, Browne stopped the clock in 10.53. 

Brown, who endured 13 surgeries before having his leg amputated after a freak accident in 2007, is a former Paralympic 100m silver medalist and a world champion over 100m and 200m. 

He beat the German double amputee Johannes Floors record set at the 2019 World Championships.
