Warrington forward Joe Philbin ruled out for rest of the season

Warrington forward Joe Philbin has vowed to come back stronger after being ruled out for the rest of the season through injury.

The England international left the field with a knee injury during the first half of Warrington’s 4-0 win over Hull on Friday night.

And now scans have revealed that Philbin, who has played 17 games for the Wolves this season, will play no further part in 2022.

Philbin has made 174 appearances for his hometown club Warrington since making his first team debut in 2014. He has represented Great Britain, England and Ireland on the international stage.

King and Wardle have swapped clubs on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2022 campaign. They are both targeting World Cup places.
