Walter Smith night a Rangers reminder of how much Ibrox board are out of touch - Hotline

As Rangers begin their search for a new manager on the back of Michael Beale's sacking, Hotline callers have played their part in that recruitment process.

Graeme Souness, Kevin Muscat, Frank Lampard and... Neil Lennon and Scott Brown have all been given honourable mentions as contenders for the post. Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: "The biggest job in Scottish football is now available and it's exciting times ahead for Rangers, Steven Davis was kept at the club despite age and availability for a reason. Rangers must bring in Souness to play a dual role with Davis to lead the line. For contacts, experience and tactical nous, they will blow opposition away."
