Wales v England Live: Kick-off time, TV channel and Six Nations build-up

The biggest fixture of the Welsh international calendar — Wales v England — is finally here, after plenty of talk and doubts over whether it would go ahead.

Wales are hoping to recover from heavy defeats by Ireland and Scotland, while England are looking for their first win in Cardiff for six years as Steve Borthwick aims to take another step forward in his back-to-basics approach after Italy were dismantled in round two.

It is a pivotal fixture that has the potential to break either side's Guinness Six Nations. Kick-off is at 4.45pm and the game is being broadcast live on BBC One and S4C.

The 139th instalment of one of rugby's fiercest rivalries was in grave danger of being called off after a strike threat from Wales' players because of a dispute with the Welsh Rugby Union over a contracts freeze and lack of long-term funding plan. A settlement was only finalised on Wednesday evening, sparing the Welsh game the catastrophe of losing the estimated £9million generated by a blockbuster home international against England.
