Wales v Belgium: Page's men back in action against familiar foes

Wales continue their UEFA Nations League campaign against Belgium at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday evening (7.45pm kick off), as the two sides face each other for the seventh time in the last decade. The two sides come into the game on the back of differing fortunes with Wales suffering two defeats whilst Poland have a win and a loss.

Robert Page's men currently sit bottom of Group A4 after defeats to Poland and the Netherlands. Those two matches saw Page select largely second string teams however as both matches were played within 4 days of Wales' historic victory over Ukraine which clinched their place at the 2022 World Cup.

The two sides have shared some memorable clashes over the last 10 years, the most high profile of which was undoubtedly Wales' victory at Euro 2016. Page's side also secured their place in the World Cup play offs with a 1-1 draw against Martinez's men back in November.

Wales have called up Salford City's Tom King ahead of the game after Kieffer Moore withdrew through injury. There are injury concerns over goalkeepers Wayne Hennessey and Danny Ward also, hence the call-up for King.

Robert Page said after the Netherlands game: "Wayne was down to play today but I found out he has a knock. Ward had to come off at half time, when you have two or three injuries in key areas, it has an impact."

Tickets are still available for the clash, with it being the third home game in six days for the national team. Just under 24,000 were present for the visit of the Netherlands but it is expected that this game will attract a larger crowd.
