Wales v Barbarians squad announcement live updates as Warren Gatland bring in fresh faces for Alun Wyn Jones farewell
Warren Gatland will name his Wales squad to face the Barbarians on November 4th today.
Wales' clash with the invitational side at the Principality Stadium has been mired in controversy with the game held on the same day as the Scarlets' regional derby against Cardiff in Llanelli. Gatland will name his squad today but will be without Dan Biggar, Louis Rees-Zammit, Gareth Davies, Josh Adams, and Liam Williams who are injured while all English and French based players will also be unavailable.
The New Zealander has already revealed he will call up two new tightheads, who weren't in his World Cup squad, in the shape of Kieron Assiratti and Leon Brown. This uncapped game against the Barbarians will be a celebratory fixture with Wales legend Alun Wyn Jones lining up for the opposition who will be coached by Eddie Jones, and future All Blacks head coach Scott Roberston.
