Vivienne Westwood walking tour coming to her hometown of Glossop

Fans of the late Vivienne Westwood will soon be able to walk in the fashion icon’s footsteps. A walking tour of the designer’s hometown of Glossop is happening later this month.

Called ‘Too Inspired To Be Tired’, the tour takes in Westwood’s story with the backdrop of the Peak District town, and is part of the Glossop Creates arts initiative. Led by curator Martha Camarillo, the tour will also take in the mural of Westwood, painted by local artist Deggy last summer.

Westwood, who was among the pioneers of the punk scene, and who rose to create a fashion empire, was born in nearby Tintwhistle and went to school in Glossop. She died in December last year, aged 81.

Walk curator, Martha Camarillo, added: “Vivienne Westwood's persona has always
