Visiting the Manchester bar serving up bottomless pancakes and making a total mess
Pancake Day is round the corner, which presents the perfect excuse to go out and order the fluffy fried treat.
One of the best things about Shrove Tuesday is undisputedly getting seconds (and thirds) so if you think you can manage more than a plateful, then one venue in the Northern Quarter is the place to be. Shack, which is based on High Street, is serving up bottomless pancakes on the big day, as well as the following Wednesday and Thursday.
Head chef Austin Fletcher estimates that he'll be flipping upwards of 4,000 pancakes across the days the offer is in place. He told the Manchester Evening News: "Last year we had to get extra chefs in and it's already filling up quickly.

"We always sell a lot of them on Saturdays and Sundays, probably around 200 to 300 over the weekend, so it made sense to do it again this year."
However, he won't be taking a break to eat any himself. "I might have one," he laughed. "But I don't eat a lot on shift. Off shift, it's a different story and I could probably get through about four or five."

They all sound amazing and earlier this month, I visited Shack to see if they passed the taste test as well.
Starting with the OG, as the most savoury selection on the list, I was immediately making a mess. In an attempt to get a bit of everything on my fork, there was bits of fried chicken flying everywhere as I cut my way through the ultra crispy bacon.
