Virender Sehwag's 'No Drama' Praise For Dhruv Jurel Angers Fans. India Great Responds

Former India batter Virender Sehwag hailed wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel for his "outstanding batting skills and temperament" after the youngster scored a gritty on Day 3 of the 4th Test against England in Ranchi. Jurel hit 90 runs off 149 balls to bail India out of trouble after the hosts were reduced to 177/7. Jurel added 77 runs, alongside Kuldeep Yadav for the 8th wicket, helping India cross the 300-run mark. However, he missed out on his century by 10 runs as India were eventually bowled out for 307.

"No media hype, no drama, just some outstanding skills and quietly showed great temparement in a very difficult situation. Very Well done Dhruv Jurel. Best wishes," Sehwag posted on X.

Sehwag later clarified that his post wasn't aimed at a particular player, adding that everyone should get equal hype.

"Not to degrade or demean anyone, but hype should be on performance
