There is no doubting what was one of Celtic’s goals of the season in 2021/22, and that was Kyogo’s goal for the Bhoys in the Europa League group stage win over Ferencvaros at Celtic Park.

What was so special about the goal wasn’t the finish by Kyogo, although he did do well to find the back of the net, but it was Jota’s incredible pass to the Hoops striker to set up the goal.   

He showed incredible vision to pick Kyogo out from inside his own half with a 30 yard pass right onto Kyogo’s foot, which put him through on goal, and seconds later the ball was in the back of the net.

Now the Europa League Twitter account has recognised just how good the goal was, by uploading the assist from multiple angles on Twitter.

Jota’s assist was indeed ‘sensational’ like the Tweet says, a moment of genius from a player who was one of Celtic’s best in season 2021/22.

That pass from Jota has to be considered as one of Celtic’s best moments of last season, and it arguably led to the Hoops’ best goal of the campaign too.

Jota’s first season at Celtic has been a spectacular success, and he has created so many memories for the fans that there was a danger the assist for Kyogo’s goal might have been forgotten about.

However, that is not the case, and the Tweet from the Europa League will remind fans of a great moment for Celtic in Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge at the club.

Hopefully it is a moment that Jota can try and repeat next season if he is still a Celtic player. There has been a lot of speculation about his future at the club, and hopefully there will be good news about the winger signing a permanent deal at Celtic Park over the next few days.
