Virals: Liverpool 'watching' EPL midfielder John McGinn
Liverpool are once again being linked with a sensational move for Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.
The 27-year-old was originally indexed to the Reds last year but it had appeared a lofty £50million asking price.
However, it would appear that the interest hasn’t subsided as arch-rivals Manchester United also eye the Scotland international.
According to a report from The Sunday Mirror (13/02, p74), as cited by Anfield Edition on Twitter, Villa are hoping to tie McGinn down to a new contract in order to stave off potential suitors.

Previously a report from The Athletic has claimed that the interest from Anfield in the 42-cap ace was ‘very real’ despite the demands.
This season McGinn – recently labelled ‘terrific’ by new boss Steven Gerrard – has scored three times and provided two assists in 20 Premier League appearances.
Valued at £27million and under contract in the Midlands until 2025 (Transfermarkt), Villa are in a strong position when it comes to the Scotsman’s future.
Having already proven to be a top-level operator, McGinn may go on the lookout for the next step in an upwards career trajectory.
