Aston Villa fans send John McGinn Man United transfer message and make Jack Grealish point

Aston Villa fans have taken to social media to give their reaction to the latest comments from John McGinn amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The 27-year-old is said to be of interest for Manchester United and is reportedly on the club's shortlist as they look to improve their midfield ahead of next season.

The Telegraph claim that United could launch a bid in the summer transfer window for McGinn, who is said to be valued at around £40million.

Villa would naturally be reluctant to sell one of their leading players and he still has three-and-a-half years left on his current deal.

Amid all the speculation, McGinn said on talkSPORT: "What he [Steven Gerrard] is, is a top class manager, very honest and very fair.

"What we do have in common, we’ve obviously had very different paths in football, but what we both have in common is we both play, or played in midfield, and we both want to win.

"So its an easy relationship from there, and I’m just trying to learn from him and Gary McAllister as well, two top midfielders, and trying to improve as a player.

"I’ve still got a lot to learn and we’re working closely together to try and get the best for the club and for myself."
