Virals: Celtic fans can enjoy a double televisual treat this evening

Celtic fans with Sky Sports Football can enjoy a double televisual treat this evening.

Firstly, there is a 15 minute interview with Hoops captain Callum McGregor, the man who lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy last season.

That is followed by a 30 minute interview with Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, who will look back on his first season in Glasgow, where he led the Hoops to a league and cup double.

The interview with the Celtic boss is followed by a compilation of some of the best goals scored in the Scottish Premiership last season, which will undeniably feature some goals scored by the Hoops.

READ CELTIC VERDICT:

It is not often that you will see Sky Sports praised by Celtic fans, but they deserve some credit for making two programmes that pay tribute to Celtic.

Hopefully the shows have some new insight from the Hoops manager and captain about what was a wonderful season for the Bhoys.

The programmes will surely be better than the recent BBC Scotland review of the season, which seemed to focus on Rangers and Hearts as much as Celtic.

Perhaps these programmes will be the start of Sky Sports treating Scottish football with the respect it deserves. In the last two seasons, Sky Sports have not shown their entire quota of Scottish Premiership games, and some Celtic away games have not been shown either, such as games against Motherwell and Aberdeen, two of the Hoops’ biggest away games every season.

Hopefully that changes in season 2022/23, and most if not all of Celtic’s games away from home are shown on live television.

The Scottish Premiership fixtures for next season are announced tomorrow, and you have to think that not not long after that Sky will announce the first set of Scottish Premiership games to be shown
