Viral David de Gea video highlights Erik ten Hag dilemma at Manchester United

A Manchester United fan has released a viral feature-length film of a series of David de Gea mistakes, labelling him a ‘fraud’.

The video, which was posted on Twitter, is over two hours long and includes errors from across the Spaniard's 12 seasons at the club.

Despite the 32-year-old technically now being without a club following the expiration of his contract, United are yet to make any formal announcement about his departure and for now his future is still uncertain with contract talks scheduled.

Just last week, United’s goalkeeping scout Tony Coton told United fans to “watch this space” when addressing rumours that there had been discussions around signing a new No.1.

The film showcasing some of De Gea's worst mistakes has reignited debate among United fans as to whether he should be offered a new contract by the club, and whether his time at Old Trafford should be deemed a success if he is to move on.

One United fan said: “Yes, it’s time for De Gea to leave but he’s been a great servant to the club and deserves a little respect.”

Another fan said: “Without David de Gea, Manchester United would likely not have competed in Europe for several consecutive seasons post-Sir Alex Ferguson. If and when he goes, remember that."

The shot-stopper has been at the club for over a decade, making over 500 appearances, winning eight trophies and four Player of the Year awards.
