Vinicius Jr named the club he would join amid Manchester United transfer links

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has already named the one club he wants to join should he leave the Bernabeu and unfortunately for Manchester United it is not them.

United were surprisingly linked with a transfer for the 23-year-old winger this week after a report surfaced in Spanish newspaper Sport. It claimed Real are open to selling Vinicius in a bid to drum up funds for their acquisition of Kylian Mbappe.

They would need to sell the club to Vinicius and with United unlikely to reach the Champions League group stages next season, this might be tough. Added to this is the player's unwillingness to leave the Spanish capital as this stage in his career.

The 23-year-old has named Flamengo as the only club he would choose to join should he leave Real. In an interview with France Football and L'Equipe last year, he explained: "I think I could stay here my whole career, but the club of my life is Flamengo.

"I promised my father I would go back one day. I have to keep this promise.

"I love life here in general, and it's going well for my family too. When my loved ones walk around, they are recognised and they
