Viktor Gyokeres 'watched' by Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd scouts as Sporting star adds to huge goal tally

Three EPL big hitters watched on as Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres scored his 31st goal of the season on Thursday night.

The Swedish player has a massive £86million release clause in his contract with Lisbon after his £20.5m move from English Championship outfit Coventry City last July. Arsenal were reportedly watching several players during Sporting's 2-1 win over Benfica, including 20 year-old defender Ousmane Diomande. However, it's believed that Gyokeres was their main focus as Mikel Arteta and Edu plan to sign a top striker when the transfer window opens again. Despite financial constraints in January, the Gunners are now considering the hitman along with Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, Evan Ferguson, Joshua Zirkzee and Benjamin Sesko.

Chelsea are also interested in Gyokeres and Diomande, while Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan were also at the Jose Alvalade Stadium. Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Benfica's young talents, Joao Neves and Antonio Silva. The Red Devils' scouts have spent the season watching the Portuguese duo playing for Benfica in both their home country contests and also Europe matches, reports The Mirror Online.

Joao Neves has a release clause of £102m in his contract, but this might go up even higher if he signs another deal. On the other hand, Antonio Silva can be acquired for £85m. However, due to significant investment in their squad, resulting in owing over £60m in loans to financial institutes, Benfica might be forced to agree to lowered offers than these.
