Victor Osimhen pursuit hits stumbling block and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United have been handed a blow in their supposed pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The attacker has 16 goals this season, 12 of which have come in Serie A with his club chasing their first league title in 35 years. The 23-year-old has piqued the interest of several European clubs as a result, including United and Arsenal.

But Calciomercato reports that Antony’s agents are now discussing a potential move to Italy instead. Ajax value the 22-year-old at around £29m after netting 12 goals and recording 10 assists this season.

Finally, a number of clubs are said to have joined United in the race for Cristian Eriksen. The Dane has bounced back to top form after recovering from his on-field cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.
