Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Michael McKinson Card: Who is fighting?

Vergil Ortiz Jr. of Grand Prairie, Texas, makes his comeback to the ring after missing for the longest period of time in his professional career—nine months—to face Michael McKinson of Great Britain.

When a contract with David Avanesyan fell through, McKinson received the go-ahead to take on the returning Ortiz Jr.

The Texan chose to discuss the specifics in an interview with NYFights this week, choosing instead to voice his excitement about returning to the spotlight and rejoining the conversation in the cutthroat welterweight division, where he intends to stay.

Ortiz Jr. is unable to watch from the sidelines any longer. Ortiz Jr. was hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis, a condition that breaks down muscle tissue and is commonly brought on by overtraining, just a few days before his fight with McKinson back on March 19.

Below is some more information on the Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Michael McKinson fight card.
