V Rising: Steam hit adds offline mode

V Rising has added an offline mode.

The wildly popular vampire RPG has exploded in popularity over the last few weeks, leading the Steam concurrent player charts and outstripping even Elden Ring.

Stunlock Studios have developed the open-world vampire game, in which players vie to become the new Dracula, and a new patch has now added a mode that allows players to go offline.

The patch notes, per IGN, make it clear that players can now play “solo or with friends on the same local network”, which will keep the game going even if your internet connection drops out.

The mode can be turned on or off, as players do have the option to create their own servers, and the host must enable the option when booting a server.

Stunlock have made it clear that the feature might not work absolutely perfectly because V Rising remains in early access.

They added: “Please keep in mind that we will work on improving the LAN Mode as we continue to develop V Rising during Early Access.”

A number of other fixes have been made, with a couple of other features added.

They include the ability to send messages within a server as well as some new Steam Cloud features.

There’s also a fix for the Authentication Error that stopped players getting onto servers, while there is also less cost return on salvaging cloaks, meaning players can’t farm cloaks in order to make a profit.

In addition to that, players can no longer put soul shards in containers.

V Rising will continue to be supported throughout its early access period as the game continues to move towards a full release on Steam.

The game’s developers have even admitted that they have been shocked by the success the game has had since its release.
