URC team news: Earls set for 200th Munster appearance

Keith Earls is in line to make his 200th appearance for Munster, after being named on the bench for Saturday's meeting with the Sharks in Durban.

The 35-year-old will become the 14th player to enter the province's '200 club' if he appears off the bench in their final game of the BKT United Rugby Championship regular season.

Head coach Graham Rowntree has made just one change from last week's crucial win against the Stormers in Cape Town, with Fineen Wycherley coming into the second row to replace RG Snyman.

Snyman misses out due to concussion, with Wycherley partnering Jean Kleyn at lock, who starts a 16th game in a row.

Jack Crowley continues at out-half, with Joey Carbery once again left out of the matchday squad, and Crowley is partnered by Conor Murray in the half-backs.

Antoine Frische and Malakai Fekitoa are paired in the centre, with the now usual back three of Calvin Nash, Shane Daly and Mike Haley.

Up front, Diarmuid Barron starts t hooker after recovering from a neck injury picked up last week, and is partnered by Jeremy Loughman and Stephen Archer, while Peter O'Mahony captains Munster in the back row, alongside Gavin Coombes and Alex Kendellen.

A win for Munster will see them finish fifth in the URC table, and book a quarter-final meeting with Glasgow Warriors.

Munster: Mike Haley; Calvin Nash, Antoine Frisch, Malakai Fekitoa, Shane Daly; Jack Crowley, Conor Murray; Jeremy Loughman, Diarmuid Barron, Stephen Archer; Jean Kleyn, Fineen Wycherley; Peter O'Mahony (capt), Alex Kendellen, Gavin Coombes.

Replacements: Scott Buckley, Josh Wycherley, Keynan Knox, Edwin Edogbo, Jack O’Donoghue, Craig Casey, Ben Healy, Keith Earls.
