Update emerges regarding Kamil Jozwiak’s future as Derby County prepare for Bournemouth test

Derby County manager Wayne Rooney has confirmed that Kamil Jozwiak is currently undergoing the process of gaining a work permit and a VISA to play in the United States.

A report from The Sun journalist Alan Nixon last week revealed that Jozwiak was closing in on sealing a move to Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC.

It is understood that Derby will receive around £1m for the Poland international when this particular deal is completed.

During his time at Pride Park, the winger has struggled considerably for consistency in the Championship as he has found it difficult to adapt to life in this division.

Despite making 17 appearances at this level for the Rams in the current campaign, Jozwiak has only managed to register one assist.

In the absence of Jozwiak this weekend, Derby will be keen to boost their chances of avoiding relegation by picking up a victory in their showdown with AFC Bournemouth.

The Rams are currently five points adrift of safety with 10 games left to play.

Ahead of the club’s clash with the Cherries, an update has emerged regarding Jozwiak’s future.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference (as cited by the Derby Telegraph) about the winger, Rooney said: “Jozwiak is going through the process of going through the process of a work permit and a VISA.
