Unimpressed Arsenal fanatics rage over Mika Biereth recall as they claim Motherwell have been 'f***** over'

Mika Biereth has been recalled by Arsenal from his loan at Motherwell in a seismic blow to the Steelmen.

The Danish youth international has been the shining light in an otherwise tortured season for Stuart Kettlewell's side, who only recently escaped a run of no wins in 15. Despite missing three months of the season, he has more goals than any other 'Well star with six strikes and joint-most assists with five in 13 games. Rumours emerged on Tuesday that Sheffield Wednesday wanted to loan him in to boost their English Championship survival bid.

Now, Kettlewell confirms Arsenal have made the decision to bring Biereth back to North London with rumours pointing to an instant move to Hillsborough. It's a major blow for Motherwell who will now call upon Theo Bair, Oli Shaw and Jon Obika in forward areas, while Curtis Main has gone to Dundee after attracting interest from the Steelmen.

Kettlewell said: "Mika has been recalled. It's been a bit of a difficult one for us over the last less than 24 hours. Major, major disappointment. This was a little unexpected. There's a situation out of our hands that there is an opportunity to send him to a club that sends that step beyond where we are just now."

Some Gunners fans took to the forums on Wednesday night to air their sympathy for Motherwell. One said "It seems a bit bad faith to me. Our relationship with a mid table Scottish side is hardly the be all and end all, but having good relationships with other clubs is important and I don't like the idea of us f***** over another club."
