'Under the radar' - Pundit highlights James Maddison & Brendan Rodgers qualities

Leicester City have got a point to prove at the end of a season which has gone under the radar, according to former Newcastle United winger Kieron Dyer.

City currently sit ninth in the Premier League and were knocked out of the Europa League and both domestic cups early on. But Brendan Rodgers' men are in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League and are building up form heading into the business end of the season.

Dyer lavished praise on Leicester and singled out James Maddison and Brendan Rodgers for special praise. He feels Maddison has been unlucky with a lack of England calls and that Rodgers is one of the best British managers.

"They’ve got a point to prove," Dyer said. "If they do really well, they’ve got a chance in playing a semi-final of a European competition.

"Leicester’s season has gone under the radar. Maddison’s scored 14 goals but because of the England talent, he’s gone under the radar.

"They’re in a European semi-final and they’ve got their talisman Jamie Vardy missing. Brendan Rodgers, with David Moyes and Graham Potter, is one of the best British managers we’ve got at the moment."
