Ulster trio sign contract extensions

Ulster have continued their busy contract week, with the announcement of new deals for Andrew Warwick, Dave McCann and Ben Moxham.

All three have agreed two-year extensions, which will keep them at the province until 2025.

Veteran prop Warwick's new deal could see him move past 200 appearances for Ulster. The Ballymena man has played 171 times for his native province since making his debut in February 2014, with 14 of those games coming this season.

McCann and Moxham are still very much in the early chapters of their careers, with 22-year-old flanker McCann having made his first Heineken Champions Cup start in Saturday's Round of 16 defeat to Leinster, while 21-year-old wing Moxham has already played 28 times for the province.

"It's great to have Andy, Dave and Ben extending their contracts," Ulster head coach Dan McFarland said.

"As a senior player, Andy has demonstrated a toughness and work ethic that means he continues to develop his game, which is exactly the kind of player we love.

"Dave and Ben are both young players pushing hard to improve their games. Both have earned spots in big games, and I’m sure are hungry to find the next level in what are very competitive areas for us."

It brings to six, the number of Ulster players to confirm new contracts this week, with prop Eric O'Sullivan, flanker Greg Jones, and full-back Shea O'Brien announcing extensions yesterday.
