Ulster sign out-half Aidan Morgan from Hurricanes

Ulster have signed Irish-qualified out-half Aidan Morgan from the Hurricanes on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old former New Zealand U20s back played 23 times for the Super Rugby side over the last three seasons.

Morgan's grandfather was born in Belfast making the fly-half eligible for Ireland.

Earlier this month, Ulster confirmed out-half Billy Burns would make the switch to Munster at the end of the season.

Morgan (above) said: "I'm really looking forward to making the move to Belfast this summer, and getting the opportunity to represent Ulster and the birthplace of my grandfather.

"I know that Ulster is steeped in history, and I'm looking forward to being a part of the atmosphere at Kingspan Stadium. I'm really excited for the opportunity to be a part of a talented team, and to play in front of the club's passionate supporters.

"It's a great time to be joining Ulster. I'm excited to play alongside a very skillful squad under Richie [Murphy, head coach] and the coaching team’s vision for the future."

Ulster, sixth in the BKT URC table face Munster on Saturday in the final game of the regular season.
