Connaire Mackin hit with one-match ban for kicking out at Conor Glass
Armagh defender Connaire Mackin will miss his team's final All-Ireland SFC Group 1 game against Galway in Markievicz Park on Sunday.
This follows the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) investigation into an incident during their recent win over Derry, and a subsequent hearing.
Mackin lightly poked his foot at the head of Derry midfielder Conor Glass as he lay on the ground in the recent All-Ireland SFC game between the two Ulster counties.
While the kick was with minimal force, it merited a Category 3 charge which carries a one-match ban.
Cantwell: 'A couple of players in particular, are they fortunate to still be on the pitch?'
HT: Derry 0-06 - 2-08 Armagh
