Conor McGregor offered to "sort out" a fan's teeth in an aggressive Twitter exchange this afternoon after being told to fix up his hometown.
The former two-weight world champion was celebrating on social media after he bought a new pub called The Waterside in his hometown, the third on his property portfolio. He retweeted a story confirming the purchase of his new Howth hotspot, and then posted that "the town is mine! And my town is your town," with a love heart emoji.
One fan clapped back with a message imploring him to "sort out" Dublin, to which McGregor responded "first up, your teeth" in a violent but likely jokey response to the user. The fan responded to McGregor's unexpected jab by saying "Leave my pearly whites out of this. Get that kip sorted mate it's out of hand."
McGregor had just quickly deleted another response to a disgruntled Twitter user from the area, who declared that they didn't want the UFC legend as a neighbour. "You have a superyacht in Howth too?" McGregor asked in response, to which the user took down their tweet.
