Ben Davies reveals Tottenham plan for Man United duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Christian Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has revealed his side are paying close attention to both Cristiano Ronaldo and Christian Eriksen ahead of their clash with Manchester United on Wednesday.

United play their third match at Old Trafford in less than a week when they take on Antonio Conte's side. Erik ten Hag will be hoping that his team can shake their poor form in front of goal during the Premier League clash, as the Reds have only scored one goal with their last 49 attempts.

Their draw against Newcastle was an all-round frustrating affair, as both Fred and Marcus Rashford squandered chances to win the game for United. Ronaldo failed to make an impact on the match in what was only his second league start of the season, as the 37-year-old was replaced by Rashford in the 72nd minute.

Eriksen was unavailable for the game against the Magpies due to illness, with United supporters hoping the Dane will be able to recover in time for Wednesday to bring back some much needed creativity. The former Spurs man would no doubt relish the chance to play against his old club and show his previous teammates how good he still is.

Davies is fully aware of the threat that Eriksen poses, as he spoke highly of the 30-year-old during a pre-match press conference, even admitting that his side will specifically focus on the United midfielder.

The Spurs defender said: "He's a world class player, any time he has the ball and has time he's very dangerous. So as a team I'm sure we'll watch him in the next few days and come up with a plan of action to stop him."
