UFC London: Paddy Pimblett reveals why he doesn't care about not being in co-main event

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has explained why he isn’t bothered by not being in the co-main event slot for UFC London.

As UFC’s return to the English capital gets closer and closer, it’s becoming pretty clear to see who the people’s main event is: Paddy Pimblett.

The Scouse sensation is easily the most popular fighter on the card and, quite clearly, one of the most popular fighters in the UFC right now.

The entire event is absolutely stacked, of course, with a scintillating main event between Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes serving as proof of that – but Pimblett’s walkout alone is going to be a sight to behold for the second time this year.

The co-main event of the evening was set to feature Darren Till returning to the cage for a meeting with Jack Hermansson. Unfortunately, ‘The Gorilla’ has had to pull out with a leg injury, giving Chris Curtis the chance to step in on short notice and try to make a name for himself.

As fun of a match-up as that is, many have wondered why Pimblett wasn’t given the chance to shine in the co-main spot.

As per ‘The Baddy’, it doesn’t really matter all that much to him.

“Mans got a new contract brother. I don’t mind being third to last lad get me fight over with less waiting round get a nice scran for me interview before everywhere shuts [laughing face]. An lots of ppl will get off when I’ve fought anyway.”
