UFC fan introduces Jorge Masvidal like Bruce Buffer & it's incredible

A throwback video posted to Reddit see Matt “Hot Mic” Parrino impersonate Bruce Buffer to introduce Jorge Masvidal for GFC.

The video was originally posted to YouTube by The MMA Lounge in August 2021 after going viral on TikTok.

Bruce Buffer is the iconic voice of the UFC, and he has introduced Masvidal to the Octagon on several occasions. 32-year-old UFC superfan Parrino donned the iconic voice to give the UFC welterweight star a special ring introduction at an autograph session in Las Vegas.

It is not often that people see Masvidal shocked, but he appeared to be blown away by Parrino’s talent and couldn’t help but applause the man’s efforts. The impression made such an impact that Masvidal hired Parrino to help with the promotion of Gamebred FC, which was founded by the MMA star.

During an appearance on MMAFighting’s The MMA Hour, Masvidal told Ariel Helwani that he was impressed at Parrino’s ability to perform the announcement, despite there being over 100 people in the line, and maintained his composure throughout.

Speaking to Fight Bananas, Parrino said: “Stepping into that f****** ring with Masvidal and the people and everything … that’s a dream. That’s a dream that came true tonight.”

When asked about how the impersonation and video came about, he said: “I had caught wind that Masvidal was doing a bottle signing, so I ended up strolling there. Basically, it just went viral. It went absolutely crazy and he [Masvidal] hired me right on the spot.”

Under the watchful eye of Masvidal, he was immediately welcomed into the MMA world as an official announcer for the Gamebred 2 Fighting Championship.
