A female fan had to be stopped from climbing into the cage after Charles Oliveira had choked out Justin Gaethje in the main event at UFC 274.

The Brazilian had forced his challenger to tap out in the first round when the woman ran from her seat in the stands and leapt on to the stage which surrounds the cage. She then began to climb the fence before she was thrown to the ground by a security guard.

The woman looked dazed and then attempted to run for an exit at the Footprint Center in Phoenix but she was met by security guards who escorted her away just as Gaethje was leaving the octagon to return to his changing room.

Oliveira was left to celebrate his victory but was not crowned lightweight champion after being stripped of his belt for failing to make weight on Friday. The 32-year-old will now take on a leading contender later this year with Islam Makachev, Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor among the frontrunners.
